Siemens’ Lord of the Rings party was held in a marquee at Hilton St Annes Manor. The Ultimate Event Company contracted MW Event Services to provide lighting and theming. We designed the party in distinct areas: the forest, the spider-infested mountain pass, fiery Mordor and Middle Earth.

Carved and painted polystyrene trees, black wall covering, green and brown washes and leafy projections made the long eerie 'forest' passageway to the marquee.

Entering the 'mountain pass' reception, guests found a mass of cobwebs, fleshy skeletons, hanging spiders and a giant carved spider lurking in the corner. The lighting was moonlit and foreboding. Some guests found it too realistic!

The 'fiery Mordor' main room featured scenic artist-painted rock-faces covering the bars and fire effects created with lighting as well as silk flame units.

The 'Middle Earth' dining area used rustic and medieval props. Hand carts, braziers, tables, barrels, sacks, etc on which the buffet was served under a starcloth ceiling
