Event planners MacGregor and Co were working on a sophisticated 40th birthday party in Surrey. Bjorn Again were already booked, and we were brought in to devise ways of making the evening even more special.

The act needed to be a surprise for the guests so we devised a reveal system which, at the press of a button, dropped the false end of the marquee revealing the stage, while firing kilos of confetti on to the dancefloor. We provided intelligent lighting for the stage and dancefloor, multi-coloured projection lighting for the room in garish colours to match the 70’s theme and highlighting for the bar and buffet.

We also lit the façade of the house, floodlit the garden and added fairground festoon lighting from the party and through the fairground to the car park.

All power and distribution for catering, lighting, loos, stage, etc was provided by MW Event Services using two generators sited in the car park
